School Video News, Focus Features & MOXIE are VERY excited to be teaming up to present student broadcasters with IT'S KIND OF A FUNNY STORY,

a comedic drama starring Kier Gilchrist, Emma Roberts, and Zach Galifiankis set to open in theatres everywhere on Friday, OCT 8.

In this New York City-set comedy-drama, 16-year-old Craig (Keir Gilchrist of "United States of Tara"), stressed out from the demands of being a teenager, checks himself into a mental health clinic. There he learns that the youth ward is closed - and finds himself stuck in the adult ward. One of the patients, Bobby (Zach Galifianakis of "The Hangover"), soon becomes both Craig's mentor and protege. Craig is also drawn to another 16-year-old, Noelle (Emma Roberts of "Valentine's Day"). With a minimum five days' stay imposed on him, Craig is sustained by friendships on both the inside and the outside as he learns more about life, love, and the pressures of growing up.

Since the film's story encompasses a wide narrative of very relevant & relatable teen concerns and situations, we wanted to provide student broadcasters & video outlets with the trailer, scenes from the film, and in-depth information in the hopes that it could be incorporated into any in-school broadcasts & entertainment segment programming you are doing prior to it's opening in theaters on OCT 8.
