You may have noticed two new names appearing on recent articles, Christina Hamlett and Ric Viers. Both Christina and Ric bring years of experience in their respective fields. In addition to their contribution to School Video News, both have published titles available which are a valuable addition to your classroom bookshelf.

Take a few minutes to meet Christina Hamlett and Ric Viers:

Christina Hamlett

Former actress and director Christina Hamlett is a professional script consultant, ghostwriter, and award-winning author whose credits to date include 26 books, 128 plays and musicals, 5 optioned films and screenwriting columns that appear regularly throughout the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Her degree in Communications from California State University, Sacramento led to assignments in all aspects of media, cable television and public relations, including the development of her own touring theater repertory company, The Hamlett Players, which she ran for eight years.
What she takes the most pride in are the theatrical scripts she writes for young people. “For over twenty years, I have had the privilege of writing for Plays, The Magazine for Young People. Plays is the premiere publisher of plays for aspiring young actors. There is nothing more gratifying than knowing that generations of teens, tweens and elementary school students are taking that first step onto the stage to perform a play of mine.”

Christina writes articles on books, plays, and film for publications throughout the world. You can find her articles in Writer's Journal www.writersjournal.com where she is the screenwriting editor.

In addition to penning feature interviews for the Pasadena Outlook and La Canada Outlook, she teaches online screenwriting classes and workshops around the country for writers of all ages. She is married to insurance industry executive Mark Webb and resides in Pasadena, California.
