Free ed-tech Videos from eSN-TV

Here’s a terrific opportunity for you:  Just for the asking, schools and colleges throughout the country can now begin receiving eSchool News TV, the no-cost commercial-free and highly relevant video programming devoted to ed-tech news and information.

eSN’s Nancy Thrush says “We’re delighted to report that the service is becoming more and more popular.  Recently the Chicago Public Schools, the nations third largest school system, signed up for eSN-TV’s complimentary programming, making it available to all ed-tech decision makers and other connected to the districts wide-area computer network.” Nancy reports that already more than 400 of Chicago’s 602 schools have received access to eSN-TV, and the rest are expected to be connected to the district’s network later this year.

eSN’s video service includes eSN TechWatch, a critically acclaimed monthly newscast, and a new ed-tech talk show called Visions of Innovation. Educators can receive the service copyright cleared and without advertising.

In a little more than a year, eSN-TV has become accessible via cable to a dozen school systems serving  some two million households from coast to coast.. Some districts distribute the videos via computer networks, as Chicago’s does. Others, such as the Irving Independent School District in metropolitan Dallas, send the material out through education channels on t cable networks serving their communities.  Still others make the service available on their web sites or link to it from its source at
