Nancy Kelley-Education Editor Teacher, writer and consultant of educational media and communications, Nancy has recently departed from a secondary teaching post in order to devote herself exclusively to bringing media studies programs into Michigan secondary schools. In a broad-based communications career that included advertising management and several years teaching English, speech, drama and debate Kelley excelled in the communication arts. Acknowledged for her success in promoting student excellence and achievement, Kelley earned such distinctions as Detroit Crockett Teacher of the Year and the Detroit Public Schools Booker Washington outstanding educator award in 1994. Presently, Kelley’s vision is to insure that in meeting the Michigan media technology standards, students are also grounded in the ethical and value responsibilities inherent in a free speech society. Nancy Kelley received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Alma College and earned her masters in Communications from Wayne State University. Nancy can be reached by email at Kelley@buysvs.com. John Kotarski-Multi Media Editor John Kotarski is currently a media consultant who worked for the Mount Clemens Schools for fourteen years designing media curriculum and developing the school’s cable television station. Kotarski lives in Ann Arbor, Michigan with his wife Theresa Tinkle, who is an Associate Professor of English at the University of Michigan. He can be reached at kotarski@pobox.com
